The Best of All Worlds

OVERVIEW

This journey was hand-crafted, just for you.

This time around, explore a new part of Mexico that you've never seen before. Impossibly enchanting, Puerto Vallarta has it all. Enjoy some of the best beaches in the world, right at your toes. Alternatively, head out on one of the countless activity options around: explore the cultural historic center, day trip to nearby towns, glide across the waves in a kayak or dip below the surface for some world class snorkeling.

As the cherry on top, Puerto Vallarta offers some of the best nightlife in Mexico, with everything from quaint local bars to raging superclubs, there's something to fit everyones taste.

Next, head inland to explore one of Mexico's coolest cities: Guadalajara. From here, take a day trip to Tequila, home of the famous liquor, and spend the rest of the time exploring Guadalajara's excellent restaurants, buzzing nightclubs, scenic sights, or simply lounging by the pool.

Guadalajara

The afternoon of the 8th, continue on to Guadalajara. Upon arrival, drop your cars off at the airport and grab an uber or taxi into town.

Guadalajara, known as “The Pearl of the West,” is the capital of Jalisco state and Mexico’s 2nd largest city. Famously known as the birthplace of tequila and mariachi music, it is rich in history and culture; but it's also recently been called the Mexican Silicon Valley thanks to its thriving tech scene.

Thanks to this blend of old and new, Guadalajara has successfully managed to create a space where tradition and modernity coexist by passionately preserving its centenary culture and traditions such as charrería, folkloric dance, jarabe tapatío, and tequila, but at the same time welcome investments in technology and software.

Architecturally speaking, Guadalajara can’t stand up to the homogeneity of smaller colonial cities which have made them famous, but its historic center, sporting the delightful cathedral and Instituto Cultural de Cabañas, is beautiful, to say the least. The edgy Chapultepec neighborhood is quite the contrast, which is full of trendy restaurants, coffeehouses, and fancy nightclubs. The easy-going Tlaquepaque area and Tonalá are a folk-art shoppers’ dream, while Zapopan has some interesting colonial architecture.

Tequila

The morning of the 9th, you will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to the train station for your Tequila Express ride -- one of the most entertaining and party-filled train rides you'll ever take.

Enjoy a scenic ride through the Sierra Madre mountains, and arrive right in the heart of Tequila. Aboard the train, enjoy tasty Mexican tapas dishes, along with an open bar.

Upon arrival, enjoy a distillery tour and a professional tequila tasting. Afterwards, you will have some free time to explore the beautiful historic downtown of Tequila, and a local lunch in town.

The volcano of Tequila fertilizes the land here and extends its arms to embrace the colorful "Magical Town" by the same name. It is a land of blue agaves and golden earth that rises from the foot of the Río Grande Canyon. Not surprisingly, Tequila was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2006.

The town's historic ranches and distilleries produce the renown and nationally symbolic spirit of Tequila. Here, you won't just find an industrial complex, but an entire culture and history behind the drink's influence. Don't be surprised to find striking blue agave landscapes in the background, superimposed by a deep red coming from the sunset's light shining over stacked golden barrels. In the evening, a uniquely sweet aroma will conquer your senses, this is a mild fragrance of the agave which escapes the furnaces and spreads through town, it will surely take hold of you once more until you succumb to another shot of Tequila.

At the end of the day, a bus will take you back to Guadalajara.
